He assures me that Orkin is dedicated to getting rid of a biting fly issue. I believe his word at this time…. He is very kind and patient and listened to my long story:)
Kathy S. via googleDaniel Clark was super awesome!!! He answered all my questions, we got everything set up same day, and he gave us all peace of mind in his walk through. Couldn't have asked for a better representative to come out!
Gabrielle F. via googleAlex and everyone at Orkin, who has come out to protect and treat our home for pests, has always been professional, courteous, efficient, and timely. They always ask questions to treat for specific areas or pests, and they are very respectul of our property. They even wear shoe coverings/booties, which we really appreciate! When we saw pests inbetween our regular appointments, they came out to treat for them free of charge as well. Thank you, Orkin!
The C. via googleA representative came to my home for an inspection. I showed her my concerns. She set up a treatment plan. She was asked if she found any other infestations, she said no, all she needed to do is show they are present. She told us she did no other looking for infestations after I showed her the one I located. She did take some pictures and measurements to compile a treatment plan. I found this rather disappointing. It seems she was only interested is selling the product and not concerned about doing a full inspection to find any and all infestation damage. I was asked to sign a treatment agreement and a payment plan. To this date I still have not seen any report of what she found. Again, I find this very disappointing. One positive note is all employees I had interactions with were polite and courteous.

Libuse B. via googleUnderstanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Ames, Iowa
For homeowners in Ames, Iowa, the cost of pest control services can vary based on several factors, including the size of the home, the level of infestation, and the specific treatment methods needed to address the pest problem. Generally, the pricing for pest management services can range from approximately $40 to $100 per month, with an initial fee that might fluctuate between $175 to $350. It's not uncommon to encounter promotional discounts that can reduce the initial cost of service. These variations in pricing reflect the personalized nature of pest prevention plans, which are designed to provide comprehensive protection for homes from a variety of common pests.
Pest Coverage Spectrum
When enlisting pest control services, homeowners should be aware of the specific pests that are included and excluded in their service plans. Typically, plans cover a wide array of common household pests such as ants, spiders, roaches, mice, and more. However, it's important to note that certain pests like termites, bed bugs, and wildlife may not be included in standard plans and could require specialized treatment.
Understanding Service Contracts
Entering a service contract for pest control often implies a commitment to a recurring plan, which is essential for maintaining an effective barrier against pests. Canceling these services can usually be done at any time, though contracts may specify conditions such as penalties or cancellation fees.
Service Guarantees and Reassurance
Pest control companies frequently offer guarantees, ensuring that if pests return between scheduled treatments, additional services will be provided at no extra cost. This guarantee bolsters confidence in the ongoing effectiveness of the pest management program.
Treatment Procedures Explained
During each visit, professionals will typically conduct inspections and treatments both inside and outside the home. They'll target areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and the exterior perimeter, applying treatments to deter and eliminate pests. Recurring services are structured to adapt with the changing seasons to provide year-round protection.
Savings with Bundling and Add-Ons
To maximize value, companies often allow homeowners to bundle various pest control services, such as combining general pest control with termite or mosquito treatments, which can result in significant savings. Additional services can be added to existing plans to address specific concerns like tick or wildlife management.
Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services
While one-time treatments are available for immediate pest issues, opting for a recurring service plan is generally more effective for long-term prevention. These plans are structured to regularly monitor and manage pest threats, ensuring ongoing vigilance against possible infestations.
