The tech and inspector that came out did a thorough job. We’re hoping the wasp problem is handled, but they’ll be back in 2 weeks to look again. They spent their time to check over everything. Richard and Shane were both very nice and great on communication.

UPDATE: they reached out today and offered a full refund and an inspection for free. I just wish someone would’ve told us this last night. Customer service is lacking, as they seem to only answer if you’re a new customer. This process has been horrendous but we’re thankful for this resolution. We have a rodent issue and called Orkin ASAP because we have an 11 month old in our home. I took off work to meet the worker. They sent a new person who was nice but they thought it was a routine stop just to set up traps. They brought a handful of glue traps and that was it. They did not inspect or look around or anything. They then said an inspector should come separately but that was never stated or set up. Mind you this entire service was $200. I then called and set up another service for today 4-6, where my husband had to take off work, and nobody showed. So we’re waiting for nothing with a sick baby and out $200….now we’re trying to call to report this and nobody is answering.

In our year-long partnership with Orkin, I am compelled to express my profound satisfaction. Unlike our prior service, which yielded sporadic results, Orkin has consistently demonstrated excellence. The noticeable reduction in pests since our transition is a testament to their efficacy. Their commitment to timeliness and friendliness is a refreshing departure from the ordinary. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend their service – a commendable choice for those seeking not just a solution, but a partner in maintaining a pest-free environment. Grateful for their exceptional service!

Had an awesome first time experience with Orkin. I’m excited we have chosen them for pest control. Tyler came by today and was very polite, answered all of my questions, and was very helpful. They were also able to give me a good discount when they heard I was getting quotes for around here. Even before the discount, they ended up being the best priced service.

Understanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Aiken, South Carolina

Homeowners in Aiken, SC, may find themselves facing a variety of unwanted guests, from ants and spiders to rodents and beyond. Identifying effective pest control services that fit your budget and address your specific concerns is crucial. In this region, the cost for general pest control services can vary widely, with initial fees typically ranging from $175 to $399, and recurring monthly costs between $40 and $100. Factors influencing these prices include the size and location of your home, extent of infestation, and the complexity of the required treatment plan.

Cost Breakdown of Pest Control

Generally, in Aiken, SC, homeowners can expect to pay an initial fee to begin pest control services. This fee covers the initial assessment and treatment to kickstart pest management. Afterwards, recurring services are provided monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly, based on the service plan chosen. These plans often include regular inspections and treatments to prevent pests from returning, and the ongoing cost typically falls in a monthly range of $40 to $100, varying by service provider and plan specifics.

Comprehensive Pest Coverage

Pest control plans in Aiken, SC generally target a wide range of common household pests. Most plans protect against ants, spiders, roaches, millipedes, and mice, among others. However, be aware that certain pests, like termites, bed bugs, and specific species of rodents, often require specialized treatment plans due to their unique behaviors and the difficulty in eradicating them.

Understanding Contracts

Many pest control services in Aiken, SC involve entering into a service contract. These agreements often span a year, ensuring regular inspections and treatments. While some homeowners might be wary of long-term commitments, contracts typically include clauses that allow for cancellation under certain conditions, sometimes involving a fee.

Satisfaction Guarantees

To provide peace of mind, most pest control companies offer guarantees. Should pests return between scheduled treatments, these guarantees usually mean the company will provide additional services at no extra charge, ensuring that your home remains pest-free.

Treatment Expectations

When a pest control technician visits your Aiken, SC home, they'll conduct a thorough inspection, identify problem areas, and apply treatments to target pests. This can include sealing entry points, laying traps, and applying pesticides. The specifics of this process depend on the type of pests and the level of infestation.

Value-Added Services and Bundles

Bundled services can provide significant savings while addressing multiple pest concerns. Many companies offer discounted rates when combining general pest control with termite, mosquito, or rodent control. Add-on services may be available for specific pests not covered under standard plans.

Specialty Pest Control

For pests like termites, bed bugs, and wildlife, which are not typically covered in general pest control plans, specialty services are required. These services are often more intensive and costly due to the expertise and methods needed to effectively address these stubborn infestations.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services

While one-time treatments are available, they may not come with a guarantee and are usually seen as preventative measures. Recurring services, on the other hand, provide ongoing protection against pests, with regular treatments designed to maintain a pest-free home over time.
