Common Pest Problems

Wentzville, Missouri residents may encounter various pests that can disrupt their peace and comfort. One common nuisance in the area is the mighty mosquito. These tiny insects thrive in the warm and humid climate of Missouri, making them a persistent annoyance during the summer months. Their itchy bites can ruin outdoor activities and potentially transmit diseases. Another common pest is the industrious ant. With their ability to infiltrate homes and establish large colonies, ants can quickly become a bothersome presence in kitchens, pantries, and even bedrooms. Their relentless search for food can result in unsightly trails and property damage. Lastly, residents might encounter spiders, both harmless and venomous species. While most spiders are beneficial as they prey on other bugs, venomous spiders like the brown recluse can pose a danger to humans if accidentally disturbed.

I've used Blue Chip for many years now. They are friendly, accommodating and effective. I will say, however, Zac goes above and beyond in his work. He took extra time to seek out and spray areas of concern that have been missed by others in the past. He also took time to walk me around my home to show me entry points that need to be caulked which will mitigate pest issues. No one else has ever done that. I highly recommend Blue Chip!

Very impressed with not only the professionalism of my inspector but also his easy manner (no "hard-sell"). Dylan B. came the day after I called the office - extremely prompt service - to inspect my attic for rodent/pest activity. He was more than generous with his time and his knowledge on various options to handle my specific situation. I had a proposal before the end of the day. I would definitely recommend Blue Chip Pest Control, and specifically Dylan B. to anyone in need of such services.

Service is great, the professional we had was extremely nice, courtesy and trustworthy. The company had no delay in getting a serviceman out immediately, price was reasonable compared to bigger company name. The professional serviceman, I believe his name was John is always in touch and extremely trustworthy.

I have worked with Dave from Presto-X for many years, and have always been impressed! He takes care of our very large church building and is always on top of things. Not only has he always been consistent in our maintenance, he shows up quickly any time we have extra issues we need his help with. This past year as things have been a bit crazy, he has been incredibly flexible...willing to work with our unreliable office hours. We appreciate Dave and Presto-X for taking care of us!

Cara B. via google

Our technician, Dave, is the best. He responds, listens and does a very thorough job. If we need anything, he is back out within a day or two. Very pleased with our service!

My husband and I appreciated the more humane approach to extermination and the time spent during the inspection to explain the treatment. I did have to call for extra treatment since our moles were still present after initial treatment but they did schedule and complete as promised. We’re in our 3 months of treatment with prevention and so far the problem is under control. All in all a reliable service with competitive pricing but everything paid upfront and no ongoing deductions to keep track.

A couple of squirrels gnawed their way into my attic. I contracted Critter Control and they responded quickly to set up service. The squirrels were humanely removed and all possible openings were sealed within a week. A short time later, my attic was fogged to take care of any potential critters that remained. A very thorough job with a warranty. Very pleased with the service.

We noticed a squirrel entering one of our roof eves and because a family member had recommended critter control we called them right away. The sales person came out and gave us a bid, indicating the work would take two to three days and they could have a team out within a couple of days. The price seemed high, but given that I can’t climb a ladder because of my disability, two or three days work for a crew seemed acceptable. A team of two young men showed up when they had said and spent a little less than 3 hours installing wire mesh over all of our roof eve openings and placing a one way the two eves that appeared damaged from birds and the squirrels, although the technicians said they didn’t hear or see anything in the eve. We had paid for 1/2 the service up front and were billed the remainder. While I’m happy to pay a fair wage, especially for services that I can’t do anymore, the six hours of labor and less than $100 of materials, seemed far less than the price and time the sales person had estimated. I called and was told a manager would call me back. I’ve been waiting about two weeks for a call back, but have only received another bill payment request and this request for a review. There is no local number provided on the website and the people I originally spoke with from their main office were not able to address the situation. The work done appears to be fine, but it’s up at the eves, so I can’t really tell the quality, time will tell if the squirrels or birds try to return, but it looks pretty good for now… the cost seems exorbitant compared to the labor and materials though and the company seems too big to provide a response to my inquiry. I do hope we can come to an agreement on finalizing the bill. My attempt to reply by email to their billing request failed so now I’m hoping they reach back out to me.

Jordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.

I would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.

Very polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.
