This is my second home using Western Exterminator. I've been a customer for over 20 years. My service is every other month on the exterior - front and back yard. I have had the interior done maybe 3 times! Occasionally I've had a little ant problem in the backyard but it's always due to the weather. They have always taken care of any issues, even if it's between my normal service! They've come out at no extra charge. Very reliable company, very good employees!

The same exterminator came by that I have worked with in the past. He was very nice. He checked an additional area in the house to make sore out wasn't new damage, it wasn't. He was very professional and pleasant.

We had a personable efficient tech today. But the previous 3 appts were cancelled causing us to question continuing with this company. We’ll see what happens with the next appt.

The tech took care of the problem caused by the main office in Atlanta not relaying crucial information to him (our dog throwing up after the borax based granular bait application even though we kept her away from the area). He even came up with a reason for the problem (grain based coating causing her problems due to a grain allergy she has.) He made sure we had his cell number so we could call him directly with problems. I am happy with the local Orkin office and would not hesitate to give them 5's. But the main office is frustrating to deal with and I can't give them 5's for that reason.

I would have recommended him for the service type that we had before but he apparently has left and decided to become and fire-fighter and the guy we currently have now claims 11 years of service, I don't find him as reliable, as communicative and they're not coming when they're suppose to be coming right now, in that, they're suppose to come late in the day so that we can let them in the house and treat the interior. It's now been a couple of months since he has come at a time when we could let him in and treat the interior, so not as happy with my service as I was used to. They've done a good job. They do come out reliably, they are responsive for a callback. So, if you really want them back, you can call them, they will come back at a time and work, so. The pricing is moderately expensive. I talk with the guy, he is a little bit talky. The first thing he did was remind me that they had 11 years of experience and then after that it was kind of like, well, you know, the other guy came out at 4:30 when we could let him in the house, when somebody might be home and he's called twice now, that's the night before, and said he's going to be out at 10 AM, nobody is going to be home to let him in the house, so the callbacks are going to be a problem. I really liked the other guy. And I have not had the chance to sit down with the new guy and there are a lots of crawlspaces in the house but I don't think some of them he even knows about.

The regular technician is very prompt and thorough. He has no problem answering my questions. Since having the regular service I have had almost no problem with ants and very little problem with spiders. The insulation in my attic was blown in and gives me an R90 (so I have told). I would recommend this comany to anyone else.

They have been wonderful. They always come when they say they will come and they always do what they say they will do. The guy that helps me is named Constantine. He is wonderful.

via angieslist

They are pretty good. They are not cheap or anything but overall, they are one of the best here. We had termites all over the house and they did quite a nice job. We don't have any more trouble with termites. They are the only ones we have used and I have never had any termite problems after they treat it. You get what you pay for.

Thanks to Terminix my carpenter ant problem that happens every year has gone away. I don’t have to worry about spiders either and they even helped me figure out how I can get rid of my bats. I appreciate the way I have been treated by the man who does the service and I no longer have to try to find or store chemicals that will do the job. I also like getting a text with the service provider’s phone and ETA.

Understanding Pest Control Costs in Beaverton, Oregon

Homeowners in Beaverton, Oregon, aiming to maintain a pest-free environment may be curious about the costs associated with professional pest control services. Pricing for these services is not uniform and can fluctuate based on a variety of factors including the size of your property, the extent of the infestation, and the treatment method required. Generally, homeowners can expect to encounter a range of prices for initial and ongoing pest control treatments. For a standard-sized home, initial fees may range from $175 to $350, with regular maintenance services averaging between $40 to $100 monthly. Keep in mind, these costs can increase if the situation calls for more extensive treatments or specialized services for pests that are harder to control.

Pest Control Service Pricing Breakdown

In Beaverton, the cost of a pest control service is influenced by several factors such as property size and level of infestation. The initial visit often includes an assessment and an initial treatment to address current pest issues. This initial investment varies but can be expected to be in the ballpark of a couple of hundred dollars. Following this, routine services are scheduled to ensure continued protection from pests, which typically cost around $40 to $100 per month for standard homes. It's important to note that these are average prices and the actual cost may vary based on the specifics of your situation and the pest control company you choose.

Pests: Covered and Excluded

When you sign up for pest control services, it's essential to understand which pests are included in your plan. Most plans cover a spectrum of common household pests such as ants, spiders, roaches, and rodents. However, certain pests like termites, bed bugs, and wildlife often require specialized treatment plans that may not be included in standard pest control services. Always discuss with your provider to know exactly which pests are covered under your agreement.

Service Contracts Explained

Pest control companies typically require service contracts that may last for a year or more. These agreements detail the frequency of treatments, covered pests, and costs involved. While contracts ensure regular maintenance and can provide peace of mind, it's also important to understand the terms, especially concerning cancellations or early termination fees.

Satisfaction Guarantees

Recognizing the importance of customer satisfaction, many pest control companies offer service guarantees. This might mean that if pests return between scheduled treatments, the company will provide additional services at no extra charge until the issue is resolved. Guarantees vary, so be sure to review what's offered and understand the conditions.

What to Expect During Treatment

A typical pest control treatment involves an inspection to identify problem areas and the application of pesticides or traps as needed. Indoor treatments may focus on kitchens, bathrooms, and entry points, while outdoor treatments often target the home's foundation, yard, and exterior structures. Service professionals should explain the treatment process and any preparations you need to make in advance.

Advantages of Bundling Services

Many pest control companies offer discounts when you bundle multiple services together, such as pest and termite control or pest and mosquito treatments. These bundles can provide comprehensive protection and save you money compared to purchasing services separately. Additionally, some providers offer add-on services like tick and mosquito control so you can customize your plan to suit your property's needs.

Handling Specialty Pests

While general pest control plans cover a wide range of insects and rodents, some pests require special attention. Termites, bed bugs, and wildlife are examples of specialty pests that often need targeted treatment plans. These services are typically more involved and may incur additional costs, so it's important to discuss options with your pest control provider if you're dealing with these more challenging infestations.

Choosing Between One-Time and Recurring Services

Depending on your situation, you may opt for a one-time service or a recurring pest control plan. A single treatment may suffice for minor infestations or as a preventive measure. However, recurring services are designed to provide ongoing protection and are typically the best choice for long-term pest management. Consider your needs and the level of protection you desire when making this decision.
