This is my second home using Western Exterminator. I've been a customer for over 20 years. My service is every other month on the exterior - front and back yard. I have had the interior done maybe 3 times! Occasionally I've had a little ant problem in the backyard but it's always due to the weather. They have always taken care of any issues, even if it's between my normal service! They've come out at no extra charge. Very reliable company, very good employees!

Travis always provides excellent customer service. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions. He’s always on time. I appreciate and trust Travis

The same exterminator came by that I have worked with in the past. He was very nice. He checked an additional area in the house to make sore out wasn't new damage, it wasn't. He was very professional and pleasant.

We had a personable efficient tech today. But the previous 3 appts were cancelled causing us to question continuing with this company. We’ll see what happens with the next appt.

The tech took care of the problem caused by the main office in Atlanta not relaying crucial information to him (our dog throwing up after the borax based granular bait application even though we kept her away from the area). He even came up with a reason for the problem (grain based coating causing her problems due to a grain allergy she has.) He made sure we had his cell number so we could call him directly with problems. I am happy with the local Orkin office and would not hesitate to give them 5's. But the main office is frustrating to deal with and I can't give them 5's for that reason.

I would have recommended him for the service type that we had before but he apparently has left and decided to become and fire-fighter and the guy we currently have now claims 11 years of service, I don't find him as reliable, as communicative and they're not coming when they're suppose to be coming right now, in that, they're suppose to come late in the day so that we can let them in the house and treat the interior. It's now been a couple of months since he has come at a time when we could let him in and treat the interior, so not as happy with my service as I was used to. They've done a good job. They do come out reliably, they are responsive for a callback. So, if you really want them back, you can call them, they will come back at a time and work, so. The pricing is moderately expensive. I talk with the guy, he is a little bit talky. The first thing he did was remind me that they had 11 years of experience and then after that it was kind of like, well, you know, the other guy came out at 4:30 when we could let him in the house, when somebody might be home and he's called twice now, that's the night before, and said he's going to be out at 10 AM, nobody is going to be home to let him in the house, so the callbacks are going to be a problem. I really liked the other guy. And I have not had the chance to sit down with the new guy and there are a lots of crawlspaces in the house but I don't think some of them he even knows about.

The regular technician is very prompt and thorough. He has no problem answering my questions. Since having the regular service I have had almost no problem with ants and very little problem with spiders. The insulation in my attic was blown in and gives me an R90 (so I have told). I would recommend this comany to anyone else.

via angieslist

They have been wonderful. They always come when they say they will come and they always do what they say they will do. The guy that helps me is named Constantine. He is wonderful.

via angieslist

They are pretty good. They are not cheap or anything but overall, they are one of the best here. We had termites all over the house and they did quite a nice job. We don't have any more trouble with termites. They are the only ones we have used and I have never had any termite problems after they treat it. You get what you pay for.

Thanks to Terminix my carpenter ant problem that happens every year has gone away. I don’t have to worry about spiders either and they even helped me figure out how I can get rid of my bats. I appreciate the way I have been treated by the man who does the service and I no longer have to try to find or store chemicals that will do the job. Understanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Tualatin, Oregon

Homeowners in Tualatin, Oregon often find themselves in need of pest control services to combat the various unwelcome critters that can infiltrate homes and yards. The cost of these services can vary widely, depending on several factors such as the size of your property, the severity of the infestation, and the types of treatments required. On average, residents can expect to pay anywhere from $40 to $100 per month for general pest control plans. These plans typically include an initial visit fee, which can range from $175 to $350. Promotions may also be available, offering discounts on initial services. Pest control is an ongoing battle, and therefore, many companies offer recurring service plans to maintain a pest-free environment over time.

Understanding Service Pricing

When assessing the cost of pest control in Tualatin, Oregon, it's crucial to consider the factors that impact pricing. Service prices can fluctuate based on the scope and frequency of treatments. Typically, homeowners can anticipate an initial setup fee, which is necessary for the first comprehensive inspection and treatment, followed by regular maintenance fees to keep pests at bay. The initial investment helps lay the groundwork for a long-term pest management strategy, while subsequent visits ensure continued protection against pest invasions.

Pest Coverage Insights

Pest control plans generally cover a wide array of common household pests. However, not every critter may be included in a standard plan. Typically, general pests such as ants, spiders, and mice are covered, whereas more specialized pests like termites, bed bugs, and certain wildlife may require additional services. It's important to review the specifics of a plan to understand which pests are included and which may incur extra costs if they become a problem.

Navigating Contracts

Usually, pest control services necessitate a contract or service agreement. This contract outlines the terms of service, including the duration and frequency of treatments. While some contracts may be for a year, providing a continuous line of defense against pests, others may offer more flexibility. It's essential to understand the terms and whether there is a fee or penalty for canceling the service before the contract term ends.

Service Guarantees

To provide peace of mind, many pest control companies in Tualatin offer guarantees. This might include a promise to return and retreat the area if pests persist after the initial treatment, often at no additional cost. It's a sign of confidence in their service quality and can be particularly reassuring for homeowners wary of recurring pest issues.

Treatment Expectations

During a pest control treatment, professionals typically inspect the property, identify problem areas, and apply treatments to targeted spots. Inside the home, this may involve treating kitchens, bathrooms, and other entry points. Outdoors, treatment often includes perimeter defense and nest removal. The goal is to disrupt pests' life cycles and prevent future infestations.

Savings Through Bundling Services

Many companies offer bundled services, which can lead to significant savings for homeowners. Bundling pest control with termite protection or mosquito treatment, for instance, may reduce the overall cost compared to purchasing these services separately. Add-on options can enhance pest coverage and provide comprehensive protection for your home.

Specialty Pest Considerations

While general pest control plans are effective against many common pests, issues with termites, bed bugs, and certain rodents may require specialized treatment plans. These pests often demand more intensive and targeted approaches, which can impact the overall cost of pest management services.

Deciding Between One-Time and Recurring Services

For many homeowners, the decision between one-time treatments and recurring pest control services comes down to the nature of the pest problem. While one-time treatments can address an immediate issue, recurring services are designed to provide ongoing prevention and management, helping to avoid future infestations and maintain a pest-free environment.
